Funders

FBA is a not-for-profit organisation and receives funds through various Australian and Queensland government programs as well as one-off grants, fee-for-service and occasional bequeaths.

We work closely with funding bodies and strategic partners  to ensure resources are invested in projects and activities that align with National, State and regional objectives, provide best value for money and return the greatest benefits to the Fitzroy environment and community. We encourage expressions of interest  from organisations and investors keen to establish projects that improve natural resources and sustainable practices in the Fitzroy Region.

Our primary funders:
Australian Government
A range of funding initiatives help Fitzroy communities and land managers look after regional natural resources. Learn more about these programs.

The partnership between the Australian Government’s Reef Trust and the Great Barrier Reef Foundation provides FBA with the opportunity to support new and existing projects.
Queensland Government
Funding from the Natural Resource Management Investment Program is helping our region achieve State environmental objectives.
