FBA Community grants and bursaries

Innovative project ideas and novel approaches to conservation and community engagement are encouraged.

Each year, FBA advertises grants and bursaries for community projects within the Fitzroy NRM Region. Application rounds and the amount of funding varies subject to funding availability, but enquiries are welcome year-round.
Members of the public are encouraged to submit on-ground project and engagement ideas that provide opportunities for community to participate in and deliver natural resource management projects across the region. Applicants may include but are not limited to community groups, Traditional Owners, landholders, individuals and businesses (projects for private or business benefit will not be considered).

Projects should work to achieving the following outcomes:

  • Community and environmental benefit
  • Improving ecological values
  • Increasing community awareness, participation, contentedness and stewardship
  • Improving land management and sustainability
