FBA and Precision Agriculture releases strategic dryland cropping book

A survey of central Queensland grain producers highlighted a keen interest in precision agriculture however, relatively low adoption rates. To help interested producers overcome barriers and implement targeted variability Fitzroy Basin Association, in partnership with Precision Agriculture Pty Ltd have created a comprehensive how-to booklet.

The compact and weatherproof booklet outlines the main technologies and practices to help CQ landholders begin or continue their precision agriculture journey. To create the booklet, 38 case study farms across the region (including dryland and irrigation farms) were reviewed identifying key areas for improvement, with a focus on reducing paddock variability and increasing productivity. Learnings and relevant information identified through this process have been disseminated to the broader cropping community through workshops, demonstrations and communication products – including the how-to booklet.

Available to interested Fitzroy landholders, the free resource hopes to improve productivity, productivity and sustainability of agriculture production system for central Queensland cropping businesses.
