Learn more about the unique animals that live in the Fitzroy Basin and our coastal catchments!

We have many animals that rely on the habitats within our region, some of these critters are very rare or close to extinction. By learning more about where they live, and what they eat, we can also better understand how to protect them for the future.

These resources have been produced by Fitzroy Basin Association with funds from the Queensland Government's Natural Resource Awareness Grants 2011.

Available materials include:

  • A range of colouring-in sheets (listed below)
  • Fact files about different creatures unique to our basin and info sheets (to the right of the page)
  • A Find-a-Word activity sheet (right-hand side)
  • Learning activities for teachers to use in class (right-hand side)
