The focus of the salinity program remains to reduce the amount of
land in the Fitzroy Basin at risk from future salinity impacts, and
to address current salinity outbreaks. It provides a strategic and
prioritised approach to managing current known outbreaks and rising
groundwater, while developing the knowledge base to determine where
investment in prevention will have the greatest return.
