Healthy Waterways for the Community

Local landholder Yvonne Armstrong and Sara Cue a Field Officer with the DCCA test water from a bore just west of Dululu

Our vision is that....' In Central Queensland we will use our natural resources in a sustainable and balanced way for the prosperity of our communities and the health of our natural environment...'

To this end, it is vital we involve our community in awareness raising, education, training and action to ensure our  waterways remain healthy.

FBA Staff and the community were involved in a water monitoring gear training day early in 2006

Every year we host workshops, training days, attend shows and provide extension roles in property management planning. In 2006 we held and participated in over twenty such events.

Our Healthy Waterways Campaign has been a tremendous success with many great stories with regional stakeholders getting the air time that they deserve. Check out these case studies for online viewing at the Coastal CRC website.
