Five sub regions make up the Fitzroy Basin region, with field
officers and sub-regional groups supporting communities across all
of them.
Boyne - Calliope
In the Boyne Calliope sub region FBA field officers in
collaboration with the Boyne Calliope Sub Regional Committee, local
government and community groups are involved in a range of
sustainable practices including: grazing projects that improve
water quality for the Reef and land condition; assisting
landholders protect semi evergreen vine thickets and other
biodiversity and marine assets. The Boyne Calliope Sub Region also
provides community representation on the Port Curtis Integrated
Monitoring Program [PCIMP], Local Marine Advisory Committee [LMAC]
and Gladstone Regional Environmental Advisory Network [GREAN];

Three Rivers: Isaac/Connors and Mackenzie sub region
In the Isaac/Connors and Mackenzie sub region FBA field officers
help on farm with property planning for improved land condition and
accessing funding for on-ground works. Landholders in the
priority neighbourhood catchments of Clarke Creek, Big Bend, Kemmis
Creek, Stephen's Creek, Funnel Creek, Springton Creek and Duckworth
Creek are undertaking planning and on ground works to improve land
condition across the sub region.
