Successful rainforest project ends with a SPLAT!
An intensive one day workshop to help landholders make the most of splatter gun equipment has capped off a highly successful program to protect native scrub in Boyne Calliope. The two-year Rainforest Recovery Project was coordinated locally by the Boyne Calliope Sub Region (BCSR) of the Fitzroy Basin Association to protect and regenerate areas of critical rainforest ecosystems. Around 50 locals join chase to eradicate Parthenium
Almost 50 people joined a bus tour to discover the best available knowledge on how to control Parthenium weed.

Road trip gives group natural insight
More than 20 people from Central Queensland visited the Hunter Valley recently to gain insight from natural sequence farming (NSF) guru Peter Andrews. In a follow-up to NSF field days held across CQ in late 2007, the Fitzroy Basin Association Inc (FBA) funded a group of interested locals to learn more about the system by visiting Mr Andrew’s Tarwyn Park property at Bylong in New South Wales. Regrowth moratorium and water quality on Calliope Community Forum agenda
The Boyne Calliope and Fitzroy communities will consider topics including regrowth clearing and water quality next week at a forum organised by Fitzroy Basin Association Inc (FBA).
