A Board has been established, elected or nominated at the annual
general meeting, from the organisation’s membership. The
Board is responsible for strategic direction and policy setting.
The Stakeholders Council forms an important advisory function to
the board, with major decisions ‘ground truthed’ at the
stakeholder level.
The Board’s membership is comprised of key sectoral
nominations, and elections from the general membership. It is
designed to have majority community membership, balance production
and conservation interests, and include local government,
indigenous and coastal representation.
